Many meaningful activities to celebrate the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(LĐXH)- Various activities are being held across the country to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2023).
** A delegation led by Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, commemorated martyrs in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on July 24.

The delegation, including Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and local officials, laid wreaths and offered incense at the martyrs’ cemetery of Dak Lak.
The event was part of activities held on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2023).
The delegation also visited the families of the two communal officials and four policemen killed in the “terrorism case aimed at overthrowing the people’s administration” in Cu Kuin district on June 11.
Emphasizing the Party, State and people’s gratitude to the deceased, Trac asked the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Dak Lak and agencies to assist the bereaved families to soon overcome the losses.
** Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Quang Phuong on July 24 visited families of war invalids and martyrs in the northern province of Cao Bang on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023).

Delivering gifts to the families, Phuong affirmed that the Party, State, and people always remember the sacrifice of many generations for the independence and freedom of the country.
He listened to the wishes of the families, and asked local Party committees and authorities to continue to pay attention to and support the families.
On this occasion, Phuong also paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the Tra Linh martyr cemetery in the province’s Trung Khanh district.
Working delegations of the NA also presented 30 gifts to families and revolutionary contributors in Nguyen Binh and Trung Khanh districts.
** Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan paid homage and offered incense to late General Secretaries Tran Phu, Ha Huy Tap and Le Duan at their memorial sites in Ha Tinh province on July 22.
She also visited and presented gifts to the families of policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged students in Duc Tho and Cam Xuyen districts and Ha Tinh city.
During the visits, the State official asked the provincial Party committee and local authorities to pay greater attention to caring for policies beneficiaries and ensuring the welfare of local people.
** An art programme was held at the Dong Loc T-junction national special historical site in Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province on July 22 to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the Dong Loc T-junction victory (1968-2023) and the 76th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (1947-2023).
The event is an annual activity co-hosted by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, the Ha Tinh provincial authorities and functional units to pay tribute to the great services of those who laid down their lives on the Dong Loc battle field during wartime.
The programme featured art performances in various genres of music, poem recitals, and stage plays hailing the Vietnamese people’s aspiration for peace./.
