Hanoi holds Tet reunion programme for workers

A lunar New Year (Tet) celebration event entitled “Tet reunion- Spring of cohesion” was held by the Hanoi Labour Federation for disadvantaged workers at the Cultural Friendship Palace in Hanoi on January 10.

At the programme, the Hanoi Labour Federation presented 10,000 gifts worth a total of 5 billion VND, to 10,000 workers in difficult circumstances.

The Hanoi Labour Federation has mobilised over 48 billion VND, to support workers in need during this Tet holiday. The agency will also arrange buses to carry 1,200 workers from industrial zones in Hanoi to their hometowns in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh, during the Tet occasion.

At the programme, a Trade Union Tet Fair was held to sell goods to workers, with discounts of 15-50%.

Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that the annual “Tet reunion” programme has a humane meaning, contributing to taking care of workers and bringing joy to them on the occasion of Tet./.NDO
